BMI View: We believe that Indonesia's real GDP growth will slow to 6.1% in 2008 from 6.3% in 2007, as the economy suffers from weaker global expansion and a tighter monetary policy at home to fight rising inflation. Indeed, we have revised up our 2008 average CPI forecast to 9.0% from 8.7% previously, and we see scope for further interest rate rises this year, which would slow the economy somewhat.
