Official View: Full-year GDP growth came in at a surprising 5.72% in 2007 after an impressive 6.39% y-o-y expansion in Q407. The Directorate General of Budget, Accounting and Statistics has, however, cut its GDP growth forecast for 2008 from 4.53% to 4.32% in 2008 on expectations that the economy will decelerate gradually over the year.
