Official View: The Central Bank has cut its real GDP growth forecast for FY2006/07 (July-June) to 6.6% from 7.1%, due to a poor harvest. The economy grew at a record 6.7% in FY05/06, but output is also likely to be hit by ongoing political uncertainty. The government forecasts 7.0% growth.
