Turkmenistan President Gurbanguli Berdymukhamedov is due to travel to China on July 16-18 to focus on speeding up an energy deal signed last year between the two countries. Under the energy deal, China would buy 30 billion cubic meters of natural gas annually from the resource-rich Central Asian country over 30 years, to be delivered through a new pipeline due to be completed by 2009.
