On 20 March, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam and China, the countries making up the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS), signed the Cross-Border Transport Agreement (CBTA), an accord which will streamline the regulations and procedures for crossing between borders in the GMS.
