The fire-bomb attack on a train bound from India to Pakistan on April 19, in which 68 died has failed to derail the peace process between the two countries. In the past, most recently following July's Mumbai bombings, terror attacks in India have provoked accusations from New Delhi that Pakistan is not doing enough to combat cross border terrorism. It is therefore significant that these latest attacks have instead been followed by the first bilateral talks on how to better fight terrorism together. The meeting is unlikely to generate greater transparency between the two governments, but it is a positive
