Chee Siok Chin, the sister of Singapore Democratic Party (SDP) leader Chee Soon Juan, has had a bankruptcy order filed against her after she failed to pay legal costs. Under Singaporean law politicians are unable to run for parliament following bankruptcy, which would be crippling for the SDP given that Chee Soon Juan was declared bankrupt himself in February.
