The leaders of South Korea's ruling Uri Party have stepped down to take responsibility for a defeat in parliamentary by-elections in October. The poll saw candidates from the opposition Grand National Party take all four available seats, bringing their number of seats in the National Assembly to 127 compared with 144 seats for the Uri Party.
