Marching For Wage Hikes

The turnout was reported to be weak owing to the recent decision by the Democratic Party (DP) to support a government-backed reform package. The march was led by labour unions, which are calling for a hike in the minimum wage. With the Chinese government recently relenting to worker demands for such wage hikes, we could see mounting pressure on the Hong Kong government to follow suit.
