Democratic Reform Debate Announced

Hong Kong Chief Executive Donald Tsang is set to take part in a televised debate with a leading pro-democracy legislator over electoral reforms on June 17. Tsang will put forward his arguments for legislators to approve a controversial set of reforms for the 2012 elections, which consist of increasing the size of the election committee to 1,200 and adding 10 seats to the Legislative Council, half of which would be democratically elected.
