Could This Be The Next Kyrgyzstan?
April 2010 | Political Risk AnalysisBMI View: The inability of the Maoists and other political parties to thrash out a viable power sharing agreement will continue to stunt political stability and economic growth in Nepal. In a worst case scenario, we cannot rule out a popular ousting of the interim government - similar to events recently seen in Kyrgyzstan - which, given Nepal's geopolitical importance, could trigger a dash for influence between regional rivals India and China.
