US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said, on February 25, that the US is willing to intensify its military cooperation and counterterrorism actions with Indonesia. She said that if the US laws can be complied with it will be possible to enhance relations with the country. Indonesia has been under American sanctions owing to human rights abuses in the past. President Barack Obama will visit Indonesia in March. Meanwhile, President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono noted that bilateral relations were good and is hopeful for a higher level of comprehensive partnership.
