Arroyo Allowed To Run

The Philippines' supreme court ruled on February 23 to allow President Gloria Arroyo to contest for a seat in congress in the 2010 elections. The court endorsed a previous ruling by Commission on Elections, rejecting the opposition's petition to bar Arroyo from running.
