An independent team appointed by Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono has recommended that the president impose sanctions on police officials and public prosecutors involved in a conspiracy against the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). The investigation team found that the police had no evidence to support their allegations of corruption and misuse of power from two deputy chairperson of the KPK, indicating the charges should be dropped. However, President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono's reaction to the team's findings has been muted and disappointing, only asking for the charges against the two KPK members to be dropped.
