Taiwan's central bank kept its benchmark discount rate on hold at 1.25% on September 25, in line with our view. While the economy recovered sharply in Q209 on a quarter-on-quarter basis, real GDP was still down by 7.5% y-o-y, and we expect rates to remain accommodative for several more months.
