Trade Balance Forecast Raised
September 2009 | Economic AnalysisTaiwan's trade figures continue to improve at a rapid pace, with the year-to-date surplus the largest on record. We have revised our full-year trade balance forecast up from US$16.4bn to US$21.3bn accordingly, while maintaining our US$12.9bn 2010 surplus target. The increasing reliance on Chinese demand is one potential cause for concern.
