Smooth Election Lifts Ratings
January 2009 | Risk SummaryWe have raised Bangladesh's short-term political risk rating to 67.7 from 57.3 following the smooth passage of the December 29 2008 general election, which resulted in a landslide victory for the Awami League-led coalition. This has boosted the policy-making and constitutional change subcomponent scores within our rating.
