BMI View: Bangladesh's political scene looks set to come full circle following the December 29 2008 general elections, with either the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) or Awami League (AL) leading the next government. However, we caution that there is still scope for unrest and turmoil, especially if the loser refuses to concede defeat. Question marks also linger over the future role of the powerful military establishment.
