Inflation And Trade Account Continue To Improve

BMI View: Vietnam is continuing its path to economic recovery as the August inflation reading came in lower than expected and the monthly trade deficit has settled at a sustainable level. The stabilisation in price growth and the trade account has had a marked effect on confidence in the dong and we now see Vietnam's current account deficit being well covered by foreign direct investment inflows.
