External Headwinds To Hurt Growth In H208
August 2008 | Market StrategyBMI View: Recent data releases have reinforced our view that the second half of the year will not be nearly as good as the first for Taiwan's economy. Hopes that continued strong demand from China and South East Asia would offset faltering orders from G3 markets could well be frustrated, while domestic demand will continue to contend with inflationary pressures and attendant higher borrowing costs.
