August 2008 | Macroeconomic ForecastsHong Kong experienced a second quarter of accelerated growth in Q108 with real GDP growing by 7.1% y-o-y, accelerating from a revised 6.1% in Q407. However, despite the better than expected result in Q108, we continue to see downside risks to Hong Kong's real GDP growth this year.
