July 2008 | Ratings UpdateAnti-government protestors still appear unflinching in their near seven-week campaign to force the government out of office. On July 7 a court ruled that the demonstrators, led by the People's Alliance for Democracy (PAD), had to end their three-week siege of Prime Minister Samak Sundaravej's offices. However, this has not dented the PAD's resolve, with one party leader defiantly saying that 'we would not mind if the court ordered us to move again because there are 3,000 roads in Bangkok'.
