Consumer price inflation accelerated to a 16-month high of 5.4% y-o-y in February, as soaring food and fuel prices continue to put upward pressure on domestic price growth. The latest price data has given further weight to our view that Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) will hold interest rates steady when it meets on March 13.
