After rising steadily for the past several months, the Thai baht has become noticeably more volatile over the past couple of weeks, in the run up to December's elections, even though its movements remain bound by a narrow trend channel. The parameters of this channel, at THB34.05/US$ and THB33.70/US$ form key technical markers although we believe the latter is the more relevant of the two.
