Rising Oil Prices Highlight Structural Weakness

As the price of oil surges towards US$100/bbl, we contemplate what this means for Asian economies, especially those which are heavily dependent on the commodity. A recent study by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has identified Cambodia as one of the region's most at risk countries, which for an economy as fragile as Cambodia's will likely have serious consequences.
