Infrastructure To Cope With Rising Population

BMI View: Singapore's ambitious public transport development proposals will ensure the city will be able to cope should it achieve its target of increasing the population from 4.5m to 6m over the next 20 years. The construction industry will be boosted by the building of two new subway lines and two new motorways, while the introduction of increased competition among transport operators will keep fares low.
