Although Asian currencies have held up reasonably well during the current global credit crunch, several units - most notably the Indonesian rupiah, Philippine peso, and Indian rupee - are particularly vulnerable to further losses. However, central banks are in better shape than ever to intervene, in the event of a de-leveraging of risk.
