Ambitious Budget Will Worsen Deficit
June 2007 | Economic AnalysisBMI View: Bangladesh's budget for FY2007/08 (July-June) is highly ambitious, and as such entails a significant expansion of the deficit. This will force the country to borrow more from the banking sector and foreign agencies. However, such fiscal expansion will be unsustainable over the longer term.
