June 2007 | Macroeconomic ForecastsBMI View: Growth is projected to slow mildly this year from the 5.9% recorded in 2006, as a moderation in global growth and ringgit strength weigh on the external sector and consumer demand remains somewhat subdued. In line with our view, Malaysia's real GDP growth eased to 5.3% y-o-y in Q107, from 5.7% in Q406 and 6.0% in the same year-ago period.
