June 2007 | Risk SummaryTwo major royalist parties have decided to merge in order to boost their chances of victory in next year's general elections. The Sangkum Jatinium Front Party and the Norodom Ranariddh Party will merge in order to provide both parties with a stronger voice in the general election, although it appears they will still face an uphill struggle come election-time judging by the poor performance of royalist parties in April's local elections.
