Talk Of Ratings Upgrade Boosts Markets
May 2007 | Market AlertPhilippine financial markets were buoyed today on the back of reports that Standard & Poor's (S&P) could be set to announce an upgrade in the country's credit rating outlook. The ratings agency is expected to release the results of a sovereign debt review following the completion of next week's congressional election, as it awaits the outcome of the polls to assess the extent of political uncertainty that could potentially emerge from them.
