New Foreign Bond To Test Investor Confidence
March 2007 | Economic AlertPakistan has announced that it will issue a foreign currency denominated bond by 30 June 2007, the end of the current fiscal year, seeking to sell the bond in overseas markets such as East Asia, the Middle East, and potentially Europe and the US. The bond will be Pakistan's fourth venture in the international debt market in three years, and should provide a good indicator of investor confidence in the country.
