A crowd of 500 people gathered in front of an airbase in northern Thailand in February demanding that the government should review an agreement allowing Singaporean air force personnel to use the base for training. Prime Minister Surayud Chulanont spoke to the protesters and stated that there would be no change to military co-operation between the two countries.
