Implications Of Wider Dong Band

The State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) announced on Tuesday that it had widened the dong currency's daily trading band against the US dollar from 0.25% to 0.50%, as 'part of our policy to increase the exchange rate's flexibility'. The move had been planned for some time now, but the timing had been uncertain.
