Indian Foreign Minister Pranab Mukherjee visited Pakistan in mid-January to discuss the issues of Kashmir, terrorism, implementation of the South Asia Free Trade Agreement (SAFTA), and the Iran-Pakistan-India pipeline pricing issues. The talks are another important step in the resumption of the peace process, which was halted by the Mumbai bombings last July. A September 2006 meeting between the Indian prime minister and Pakistan's president has been the only other high-level bilateral meeting since the attacks, which India held Pakistan accountable
