December 2006 | Macroeconomic ForecastsBMI View: A paucity of reliable economic statistics limits our forecasting abilities, but we can derive a broader economic picture based largely on selected official figures and data from key trading partners. High energy prices and robust economic growth in neighbouring countries have boosted inward investment, bringing in much needed foreign exchange. We therefore expect upwardly trending economic growth despite economic sanctions limiting US and EU involvement.
