November 2006 | Ratings UpdateMalaysia has agreed to expand existing cooperation with Thailand to help in its long-running battle to end unrest in the latter country's southern Muslim provinces - Yala, Pattani and Narathiwat. Thailand has alleged that insurgent leaders are taking refuge in Malaysia, while sympathisers have been fuelling the unrest by providing funds to suspected militants - claims that have both been strongly denied by Malaysian officials. Kuala Lumpur has, however, offered to help the Thai authorities to find and arrest any militants who may be crossing the
