BMI View: While we maintain our 2006 GDP forecast at 6.3% y-o-y, Cambodian officials continue to appear unable to settle on a figure, once again revising their growth forecast to 7.2% from 6.1% y-o-y. Although new farming techniques are expected to increase output and improving trade relations with neighbouring countries will open up markets, we feel corruption and the current political situation will limit growth prospects in the country.
