Accelerating Yuan Rise
October 2006 | Economic OutlookBMI View: Accelerated appreciation of the yuan, along with suggestive comments from officials in both China and the US, have increased speculation that further currency reform in China is imminent. Fundamental exchange rate reform, such as a widening of the 0.3% trading band, would put our year-end CNY7.7200/US$ target in good stead.
