BMI View: The recent tolerance by the Chinese authorities of greater yuan volatility, coupled with signals that greater flexibility is ahead, has heightened expectations that further exchange rate reform is imminent. Recent indications that the economy is beginning to slow are, in our view, unlikely to relieve pressure on the authorities for more significant yuan
