Yudhoyono Losing Popularity
September 2006 | Risk SummaryA failure to deliver on a number of promises that won him power in the 2004 has led to President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono's approval rating in polls falling below 50%. He has not achieved the ambitious target of sustaining the 6.0% growth that he feels would address the country's unemployment problem, while progress on his package of promised reforms has been slow.
