Malaysia's economy grew at a faster-than-expected pace of 5.7% y-o-y in the first quarter of 2005, but was still slower than the fourth quarter's revised expansion of 5.8%. Though the weakening global economy will lead to a slight deceleration, we expect growth to remain relatively resilient, at 5.6% in 2005, underpinned by strong domestic demand
