President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono has established a new anti-graft team in a bid to end Indonesia's reputation for being one of the world's most corrupt countries. The Coordinating Team for Corruption Eradication, comprising auditors, prosecutors and police officers, is to probe state officials and ministries suspected of wrongdoing. On April 12, Yudhoyono's anti-corruption campaign claimed its first high-profile scalp: Abdullah Puteh, the former governor of Aceh province, who was jailed for 10 years for stealing state funds.
