March 2006 | Political Risk AnalysisBangladesh at last appears to be having some success in its bid to stamp out Islamic militancy in the mainly Muslim nation. However, the recent high profile crackdown of religious activists is unlikely to lead to calm in the state. The political opposition will continue to exploit the situation, with ongoing strikes proving equally destabilising.
