November 2005 | Macroeconomic ForecastsCambodia is forecast by BMI to grow by 4.0% in 2005. The IMF, in their September World Economic Outlook, increased their growth forecast for Cambodia to 6.3% for 2005, and 6.1% for 2006. They had previously been forecasting growth of 1.9% in 2005 and 4.3% in 2006. The upgrade was made amid evidence that Cambodia's all-important textile sector is holding up to competition better than expected, despite the expiry of global textile quotas at the start of the year
