Singapore's economy has had a roller-coaster ride during 2005. Looking forward, the open-trading economy will continue to show some volatility due to its dependence on global demand. However, amid a strengthening global economy and an improved outlook for domestic consumption, growth is certainly on a firmer footing ahead.
