Chinese President and Communist Party General Secretary Hu Jintao paid an official visit to Vietnam at the end of October. The three-day visit, made at the invitation of Vietnam Communist Party General Nong Duc Manh and President Tran Duc Luong, marks a period of growing co-operative ties between the two parties and countries.
