October 2005 | Macroeconomic ForecastsAfter an impressive 6.1% expansion in 2004, we are now expecting growth to come in at 4.6% this year, downgraded from last month's 4.7% forecast. The main reasons for the lower growth outlook are the ongoing violence in southern Thailand, the impact of last December's tsunami and high oil prices, which pushed annual inflation to a seven-year high in September.
