Domestic Boost
September 2005 | Economic AnalysisVietnam is now one of the fastest growing economies in Asia, clocking up growth rates around 7% for the past few years, including growth of 7.7% in 2004. While we expect a slight slowdown this year, with growth of 7.4%, this rate is still impressive. Following expected accession to the World Trade Organisation (WTO) next year, surging exports should also underpin strong growth for the remainder of our five-year forecast period.
