Bold Economic Targets Are Unveiled
September 2005 | Economic AnalysisThe government has released details of its draft five-year plan for the 2006-2010 period. According to the plan, the government has set an annual GDP growth target of 7-7.5% over the next five years, while aiming to raise annual per capita income to US$700-750. These figures compare with an average of 6.2% annual GDP growth in 2001-05 and estimated annual per capita income of US$450mn.
